Legal Information

Cyprus is becoming more and more popular with couples who are wanting to get married, because Cyprus is only one of a handful of places in the world where you can marry and it is legal back in the UK, along with the romantic settings on the island. However there are some vital requirements that need to be met according to Cyprus Law.

• You have to be resident for a minimum of three working days (excluding weekends, public holidays and the day of arrival) before the Wedding Day.

At Cyprus Brides & Grooms we will help take the stress and worry of organising your Wedding and assist you in obtaining your Wedding License and choosing your preferred date and time. Once your Wedding License is in order, then you can concentrate on sending your invitations out to your guests and waiting for the big day.

We will advise you of the documentation required to be submitted to the Town Hall from the UK, well in advance of your departure. We will require you to e-mail, fax or post copies over to us to insure all documents are in order prior to your arrival in Cyprus. You will be appointed your own Wedding Planner who will guide you through the process and arrange an appointment with the Town Hall to receive your License. You will also be required to pay the License in Euros.
